When i was cheking some forums i noticed that some people may have problemswith syntax and grammers in there posts ,specially when they write with a language not their mother langauge and in some cases even they write in their mother langauge

Security With Attach DB

In my previous post i have mentioned that any one can physically access the MDF & LDF Files can recreate the database so it is a risk to allow such situation
solution can be concluded in 3 steps :
1- Limit physical access to allowed and authenticated users only
2- Use Windows Authentication(use highly encryption alogrithms) to secure authorization to DB ,this is in case of all the users use built on NT systems else use SQL Server authentication (less secure ,send the user name and password as plain text)
3-Use the EFS to encrypt only MDF Files ,so even any user could get the files they are encrypted and only Recovery Agent (Administrators) can decrypt it

Restore SQL Server DB From LDF&MDF Files only

A Mmember send me a problem concerned about his work , he was using sql server for his work and it seems he had an accident casued his databases to be lost ,unfortunely he did not make backups for it he just had the LDF & MDF Files
what was the solution Mysugession was to reattach those file to his newly installed SQL Server with the same previous configuration ,the sql statement was like this one

EXEC sp_attach_single_file_db @dbname = 'pubs', @physname = 'c:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLDatapubs.mdf '

My dear friend waleed (the moderator in the same forum) said "reinstalling sql server made you close its background service which allows to save the neccessary data to reattach it"
of course i tried this way and it worked ,but does this mean if i got the MDF & LDF FILE for any database so i can recreate it again
i shall search for the answer
